A Letter from the Commander
Commander: Michael P. Geiger – aka “Tiny”
Hello, I would like to introduce myself and the Tripoli Shrine Motor Corps precision drill teams. I am Michael P. Geiger, Commander of the Motor Corps – 2005-2006. The Tripoli Shrine Motor Corps is made up of five individual drill teams and one group of support team individuals called the Quartermasters. The Escorts are Ultra Classic Harley Davidson Motorcycles 1400 CC, all matching bikes. The Sultans are Harley Davidson Motorcycle’s 1201 CC and larger of any model or color. The Eagles are 883 CC to 1200 CC Harley Davidson Sportster’s. Next we have the Scarabs, which are miniature size Volkswagen replicas powered by Briggs & Stratton motors, followed up by the Rangers which are 97 CC Pagasta Motorcycles. All supported by our Quartermaster group which drives the Ford E350 cube van loaded with tools, tie down equipment and an electric wench.

The Tripoli Shrine Motor Corps has been pleasing audiences for many years while participating in many parades in numerous municipalities. We have competed in drill routines in various states across this country with several of our groups winning multiple awards for their performance, that is how we got the our nickname “The Award Winning Motor Corps of Milwaukee.” We are a volunteer group of men, all from different walks of life. We ride together for the purpose of helping children enjoy a better quality of life. With monies raised from different events to help support our network of 22 Shriners Hospitals for children throughout the country, as well as Canada and Mexico, children receive quality care at absolutely NO COST to them or their families.

Tripoli Shrine Motor Corps is involved in many activities during the spring and summer months. Our inaugural Tripoli Shrine Motor Corps Benefit Ride was held in September of 2005 and was a great success. The money raised from this event enabled our unit to make a very generous donation to the Chicago Hospital.

Our Tripoli Shrine Facility located at 3000 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee hosts our weekly and monthly meetings for all who participate in the Tripoli Shrine. It is also a rentable facility for meetings, parties and weddings. The Shrine is a beautiful building with many different room sizes and a grand ballroom. We urge you to stop in and see its splendor.

Our sincere thanks to all of you who have supported the many events we have hosted in the past. Your continued support is appreciated.

Commander,

Michael P. Geiger
